Hi this is Reese and she is about 8 months old and should grow to be about 60-80lbs. Overall he is a very healthy dog and ready for placement in a forever home. Reese has been successfully treated for localized demodectic mangewhich is one of the most commonly diagnosed, non-contagious, skin diseases found in puppies and young dogs. The most obvious symptom is small circular areas of hair loss. As you can see in these pictures she is well healed and should live a long and healthy life. It is possible this skin condition could return however there are a number of options available to treat it should that occur.
Consider the following illnesses Conjunctivitis, Otitis Media, Varicella-zoster virus and Acute viral rhinopharyngitis they all sound very seriousbut as a child I experienced all of them! I am here to say that you can live a healthy life despite pink eye, ear infections, chicken pox and a common cold. While any medical condition can be cause for pause we hope that you will see these dogs for the beautiful, sweet, playful and loving creatures that they are. Just the comfort of a home to call their own and a constant care provider in their lives will reduce their stress which helps tremendously in the healing process.
